Wanderful apps create interest in language and reading through interaction with the stories
We are dedicated to helping young and emerging readers with interactive experiences that encourage reading and story exploration. The stories engage your child to learn about language, reading and spelling through playful interaction, loveable characters and music. We understand that each child’s learning experience is different; our goal is to help them build a relationship with vocabulary and comprehension by letting them explore and interact with each story. Wanderful apps are full of ways to learn through exposure, repetition and context. We strive to make each App a truly “Wanderful" experience – full of surprise, whimsy, and humor, with an invitation to explore because EVERTHING inside every storybook is ALIVE. Here are some ideas how you can use Wanderful interactive storybooks with your family:
Fast language play:
Play with the individual words:
Every word of every Wanderful storybook is recorded twice: once for story-telling, and again for each individual word. Emerging readers like to tap the words in order to "build" the sentence themselves. Older children like to tap the words out of order making their own silly sentences. Make a game of finding words or making your own simple sentences.
Read together or just let them play
Even though our Wanderful interactive storybooks allow children to read and play successfully by themselves, it's also enriching to read and share stories together. With our storybooks, you can read them aloud with your kids. And you can also explore the interactive elements together. We find that children are very eager to show what they can do, and share their favorites with you.
All Wanderful Apps let readers dynamically change languages from any page. This is a great way to introduce and explore other languages all within the one App. If the Page Story Completion setting (under Settings) is also turned OFF, then it's easy to jump past the story reading to direct interaction with the individual words.
Developed from the original Living Books collection, these engaging storybooks are insanely fun, interactive and timeless. You simply can not wear them out and the dog won't chew them up.
